Focusing on practice areas including product liability and environmental and construction tort claims, Scott Haworth Attorney serves as Managing Partner of Manhattan-based law firm Haworth Coleman & Gerstman, LLC. Additionally, Haworth’s work concentrates on catastrophic injury litigation for clients affected by accidents involving transportation and fire. Recognized for his successful legal service, a client awarded Scott Haworth with Attorney of the Year honors in 2004 and again in 2006.
Haworth navigates a range of legal matters, including class action suits, insurance and commercial claims, and litigations involving multiple districts. He has completed cases involving hazards pertaining to lead, asbestos, and mold. Haworth supports a diverse clientele of construction companies, overseas firms, and established retailers, as well as telecommunications, packaging, and construction businesses. Additionally, he works with clients producing medical devices, industrial machines, cosmetics, children’s goods, and recreational products.
Before joining Haworth Coleman & Gerstman, Haworth accepted a position in a national law firm, working as Equity Partner. Earlier in his career, he filled the role of Equity Partner at a notable group of litigators based in New York. Earning a B.A. with honors from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1990, Haworth completed a J.D. at the New York University School of Law in 1993.
Participating in an assortment of professional organizations, Scott Haworth is an International Association of Defense Counsel member, sitting on the group’s Product Liability and Trial Tactics Committees. Former Chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Continuing Legal Education Committee on Product Liability and the Defense Research Institute’s (DRI) Specialized Litigation Group on Food Law, he presently chairs the DRI’s Specialized Litigation Group on Recreational Products.
